NotebookLM is based on Google's Gemini AI tool, and can take the most mundane of sources and use them to produce an entertaining conversational podcast summarising the results (thanks to Gareth for the inspiration for this blog). Here's what we'll cover in this blog:

Section of blog	What it covers
Using NotebookLM	Adding sources and creating podcasts using Google's "personalised AI research assistant".
Translating the results	My attempts to turn the podcast generated using American accents into one using English accents (the same techniques would work for translating the podcast into other languages).
A case study - surviving a zombie apocalpyse	I thought I'd waste the rest of my free account creating a podcast based on Columbus' rules from the excellent Zombieland film.

I used my existing Google account, but if you don't have one you'll need to create one at this point to sign in.

With a free trial account you'll be able to generate up to 45 minutes of audio, which is plenty to practise with.
