You can now post images in Chat GPT - here are 5 ideas for things to try
The problem with AI tools like Chat GPT is often having the imagination to think how to use them. To give you some ideas here are 5 ways in which you can use image-based AI questions in Chat GPT for general questions, cookery queries, travel updates, website design help and medical enquiries.

Stuck for ideas of what to ask Chat GPT using the new image tool? Here are 5 ideas to give you (in one case literally) food for thought.

You'll know you can use image-based search in Chat GPT if you see this icon.

Idea 1 - Identifiying Things

If you have a photo of an unidentified object (or in this case, dog), you can ask Chat GPT to identify it:

Say hi to Rusky. I have no idea if this is right, but it sounds plausible!

Idea 2 - Cooking

OK, I have low expectations for this one. I got a few things out of the fridge and cupboard in the office, and want to see what I can make with them:

Ingredients for recipe

This is astonishing: Chat GPT has correclty identified all of the ingredients apart from the pot of humus, and then launched into a recipe on how to use them to make tomato soup or cheese on toast.

I love the fact that it's added bread to my list, hoping I have some:

Not sure I'd enjoy this soup, but they weren't very promising ingredients!

Idea 3 - Travel

Seen a photo of somewhere interesting? Ask Chat GPT where it is, and what you can do there:

The photo was indeed Derry, although I tried a couple of other less obvious photos and Chat GPT held up its hands and said it couldn't identify them.

Website Design

If you've used HTML and CSS, this is the one which might blow your mind (it blew mine!). I wanted an answer to this question:

A reasonable question: like anything using CSS style sheets, the answer will be much harder than you might expect.

The answer is just amazing. Firstly Chat GPT suggested a way to get the stars:

I used this excellent idea in my final solution.

The AI tool then generated all of the HTML and CSS I would need to implement this:

How can it possibly do this?

Arthur C. Clarke famously said: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic”. He was right!

Idea 5 - Medicine

I've had an itchy rash on my leg for some time now (warning: the rest of this blog is not for the squeamish). What could be causing it?

All of these sound plausible, I guess.

Interestingly ChatGPT refused to answer this question when I made it more personal, saying I should consult a doctor!
