To avoid having to draw the form needed for this exercise, right-click on the name of your project in Solution Explorer then choose Add --> Existing Item... (you can also press SHIFT + ALT + A to do the same thing).
Choose only the file called frmApplication.cs in the above folder to import it into your project, then edit Program.cs to make this the default form. When you run your application, you should now see this:
Our rudimentary dating agency application form
Add as much validation as you have time for! You should check:
Each text box and combo box in turn is filled in.
Each age field contains a valid integer.
Each age is between 18 and 100.
Use the Focus() method to leave the cursor on any text box or combo box which has invalid data.
If you get all of this working, you could always add a message box at the end (if all validation checks pass):
If you are Basil Brush, lie about your age and say you're seeking a female aged 30, this is what you should see!
Close down all of the open forms, reflecting that it was annoying have to write the same code twice to validate each age, and wondering whether there is a better way to do this.
