Apply validation and protection to a model of game show winner expenditure and income

Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file .

Open the file in the above folder - your task is to make it more idiot-proof!

First, add a cell note to the house price input to justify your apparent parsimony:

Right-click on the cell to add a cell note

Now apply validation to the mortgage rate cells so that each has to be between 0 and 0.2 (i.e. between 0 and 20%):

Sarcasm and data validation mix well, Wise Owl find.

Apply validation to the two rows of revenue cells so that they display a warning if you enter income of less than £100k (on the grounds that this is probably a typing error):

If you choose Yes you will be able to enter the low income.

Tell Excel to circle all data which currently violates the validation criteria:

The two offending figures.

Modify the two styles called InputMoney and InputPercent so that they unlock any cells to which they are applied, then apply protection to your Inputs worksheet to prevent anyone inadvertently changing any non-input cells.

Save this file as Robust model, then close it down.
