You can resize a drawing object in Excel by clicking and dragging the corner resizing handles. When you do this, the width and height change independently so it's difficult to maintain the object's proportions.
It's tricky to resize the width and height proportionally like this.
Try holding the Shift key while dragging the resizing handle to maintain the shape's proportions.
Now the height and width change proportionally.
You can use the same trick in other Microsoft Office applications like Word and PowerPoint.
