Open the Music Tours - Basic Measures.pbix file in the folder shown above. You should see a slicer, card and table visual. The card is populated with a measure which counts the rows of the Album table.
You can use the slicer to filter the card and table.
Add the following measures to the Music Measures table:
Measure name | What it should do |
---|---|
Count Track | Count the rows of the Track table. |
Avg Album Tracks | Divide Count Track by Count Album. |
Add the Count Track measure to the card and table visuals, and the Avg Album Tracks measure to the card only.
Your report should now resemble this.
Add a measure which calculates the total track length in seconds. To do this, you'll need to calculate the sum of an expression which multiplies the Track mins field by 60 and adds the Track secs field to it.
Add another measure which divides the total track length in seconds by the Count Track measure.
Add these new measures to the card and table visuals.
Feel free to give your measures different names to the ones shown here.
Create a new measure which adds the sum of the US sales (m) field in the Album table to the sum of the same field in the Track table. Display this measure in the card and table visuals.
The final visuals should look something like this.
Save and close this file.
