Did you know that you can add dynamic values into text boxes in Power BI?
The average box office value in this text box updates when the data is refreshed and it responds to filters.
To create a text box with dynamic values, from the ribbon choose Insert | Text box.
Type in any static text that you want to include.
Include a space after the last word to avoid the dynamic value being inserted right next to it.
Select the + Value option on the text box toolbar.
This will expand the toolbar to reveal additional options.
Type in a question to interrogate your data and choose Submit.
If the system recognises the fields you are referring to, it will underline them in blue.
Review your result and choose to save it if you're happy.
You can use the Result section of the toolbar to carry out some basic number formatting of the dynamic value.
Power BI adds the dynamic value to your text box.
Use the text box toolbar to format your static text and dynamic value at the same time.
