Often selecting items on a Power BI page can be difficult, especially if you have multiple items layered on top of each other.
The Selection pane can be found in the View tab and it's very useful in these situations.
Here you can see multiple items on top of a rounded rectangle. I want to group all the items, including the rectangle.
Whenever you select a layered item in Power BI it automatically comes to the front whilst being edited.
I've selected the rectangle and now I can't see any of the other items!
Clicking an item in the Selection pane will select that item on your report page.
Did you know you can rename items by double clicking them in the Selection pane?
Grouping my items will be easy now. Hold Ctrl and click to select each item, right click on any one of them and choose Group | Group from the menu.
Much easier than trying to select each item on the page.
