When you create a stacked column chart in Power BI, by default the segments of the columns will be sorted according to the sort order in the underlying table.
Here each column's segments are sorted alphabetically from bottom to top. Book/Short story is at the bottom of each column.
If you want to sort the segments by their size, you can find properties that allow you to do this in Visualizations pane.
Ensure you have the stacked column chart selected then select the Format your visual icon.
This will reveal the formatting properties for the visual.
Navigate to the Columns section and expand it, then expand the Layout section.
This will reveal the properties to control the segments of the stacked columns.
Toggle the Sort by value switch to On.
Your columns will be sorted by smallest to largest value from bottom to top.
To sort them by largest to smallest value from bottom to top, toggle the Reverse order switch to On.
For the majority of genres it's clear to see original screenplays generate the most income at the box office when they're the source material.
