Use outer joins in SQL queries to return every row from a table of concert tours.

Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file . If you want to download the SQL Server database that this yields:

Go into SQL Server Management Studio;
Open the SQL file you've just unzipped (you can press CTRL + O to do this); then
Execute this script.

This will generate the database that you'll need to use in order to do this exercise (remember to refresh your list of databases to see it!). Note that any files provided are only to be used for exercises published on this website, and may not be reused or distributed in any form without the prior written permission of Wise Owl.

Write a query to return the following columns from the Tour table, making a note of how many rows the query returns:

A list of concert tours produced by a query in SQL Server.

Notice that not every tour has an associated album.

Use an inner join to add the Album table to the query, using the Album_ID columns to join the tables.

Some tours should have disappeared from the list.

Change the type of join so that your query returns every row from the Tour table.

If you've listed the Tour table first in your FROM clause, it will be on the left hand side of the join.

Replace the Album_ID column in the SELECT list with the Title column from the Album table.

Use the ISNULL function to replace nulls in the Title column with the phrase No associated album. Sort the results in ascending order of tour name.
