Use return values in SQL Server to capture the result of a stored procedure.

Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file .

If you don't have a copy of the Music_01 database, follow the instructions at the following link to create it: www.wiseowl.co.uk/sql/exercises/standard/using-sql-server/5257/

Open the High Capacity Concerts.sql file in the folder shown above. You'll find a SELECT statement which returns the ID of the highest capacity venue.

Use the query to create a stored procedure called usp_Get_Biggest_Venue_ID whose return value is the result of the SELECT statement.

Add two optional date parameters to the procedure and add a WHERE clause to check that the venue Opening_date is between the two dates passed in.

In a new script, use a variable to capture the return value of the stored procedure.

An example of the code you could write to do this.

In the same script, write a query to return the details of the venue whose ID you have captured.

Add another query to return a list of shows which took place at the venue whose ID you have captured.
