If you saved your macro in your current workbook, you may get this message when you try to save it:
Microsoft are trying to protect you (or at least ensure that you know what you're doing!).
If you see this message choose Go back, then in Excel choose to save your macro with a different file type:
Choose this option from the File menu to save your workbook with a different name.
When saving your file, choose a macro-enabled workbook:
Choose to save your file as an .xlsm file, otherwise it can't contain macros.
Macros in your personal macro workbook are treated differently: Excel will automatically prompt you to save any changes you've made to your personal macro workbook when you exit the application.
Now that you're recorded and saved your macro, it's time to run it to see what it does!
