You can automate columns in an Excel spreadsheet to change their widths as you enter data with a simple line of VBA.
Right click on the sheet tab and choose View Code.
Select Worksheet from the drop down menu at the top of the module.
This option will add the default event for the code to work with.
Replace the default code that appears with the code below:
Now the column you're working in will autofit when you change a value in a cell.
Save your workbook as an Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook.
