You can create maps in Power BI using the Azure maps visual:

The disclaimer explains that Microsoft subcontract mapping to TomTom, which is a much better idea than using Bing Maps (as used to happen).

You can then add fields to your visual to get a map:

We average the latitude and longitude here for all of the data points in each region.

Here's the field choice for this map:

Note that we have to take the average geographical position over all of the sales for each region.

Here's an alternative map, showing total sales by all of the shopping centres within each colour-coded region:

Here we're using the region as a legend field.

Here are the fields for this map:

Notice that here you need to specify Don't summarize for each of the latitude and longitude fields, to get one point for each bubble where sales took place.

So having created your Azure map, it's time to format it!
