I think the first thing to note about these tests is that (like all good tests?) they didn't yield the results I expected! I would say there were 3 big surprises:

Summary	Details
How similar the tools are	To be honest I was expecting ChatGPT to be far ahead of all the other tools, but it turns out that they're all remarkably similar!
Not all tools do images	At the moment Claude and Gemini don't create images, but you could solve this by using a specialist image generation tool like Midjourney or Dall-E.
ChatGPT wasn't the best	For most of the tests either Claude or Gemini (or both) just edged ahead of the Microsoft/OpenAI tools.

After reading all of this you may be disappointed with my conclusion and recommendation: that it doesn't reallly matter which tool you use! The most remarkable thing about the results is how similar they all were. If I had to recommend a tool for everyday use based on this set of tests, I'd go with Google's Gemini, which was consistently quickest, gave great results and whose formatting I liked best, but all of the tools are breath-takingly amazing to use.
