We had an excellent trainer; personable, keeping explanations to the point, and leading 'code along' examples of the topics in a way I found both accessible and instructive. I found the suggested real world implementations of concepts that we covered to be helpful. The fundamentals of SQL were covered in such a way that I was able to understand the topics without being side-tracked by complex alternative ways of doing things. The exercises we completed were appropriate for such a short course, and very much helped to solidify my understanding of the useful Left Join. We covered the advanced course at a pace I found to be pleasantly challenging while remaining interesting. The trainer was friendly and welcoming and his delivery was excellent. He is clearly very knowledgeable about SQL and was able to answer all of our questions with ease. He gave us plenty of time to do the exercises with his help, which was particularly good as I sometimes find I forget things if I don't take the time to do them myself, once I've learnt them. Although a basic level of knowledge of SQL is naturally assumed going into an advanced course, I was never put on the spot or had to recall things that weren't in the course.
