Changes in the Power BI Desktop December 2022 update Part one of a three-part series of blogs |
---|
This update make slicer formatting much more consistent (a welcome change), and introduces 3 fairly complex new DAX functions (OFFSET, INDEX and WINDOW).
We've been creating our idiosyncratic monthly blogs on Power BI updates since November 2016, and also deliver online and classroom Power BI courses. |
This unusual December update (unusual because normally there isn't one in the festive season) introduced two new changes:
Change | Notes |
---|---|
Consistent slicer formatting | You can now change the format of slicers in the same way as for all other visuals. |
New DAX functions | DAX now has 3 new functions called INDEX, OFFSET and WINDOW to allow calculations over partitioned sets (these aren't for the faint-hearted!). |
And here are some of the preview features I would hope to be blogging about soon!
The features in Power BI preview at the time of writing.
